What an eSIM cannot do
- No Vietnamese number, so it cannot receive verification SMS — set up Grab with your Thai number before you travel
- Hotspot sharing slows down after 1GB per day (data used on the phone itself is not capped)
- The QR code installs only once — scan it on the device you will actually travel with

What Thai travellers most often ask about Vietnam
Visa
Thai passport holders enter Vietnam visa-free for tourist stays of up to 30 days; your passport needs at least 6 months validity. Staying longer means applying for an e-visa (up to 90 days) in advance.
Changing money
The currency is the dong (VND) — roughly 800 VND to 1 baht. Baht cannot be spent directly, so it must be exchanged. Airport counters give worse rates than in town, so change only what you need for the ride in.
Cards and ATMs
Cards work at hotels and upmarket restaurants; markets and street stalls are cash. ATMs charge roughly 22,000-55,000 VND per withdrawal. Always choose "local currency (VND)" on screen — converting to baht at the machine gives a worse rate.
Apps worth having
Grab for rides and food delivery · Google Translate camera mode for menus · download an offline city map in Google Maps before you fly.
Power and water
220V, same as Thailand. Sockets take two round or two flat pins — no adapter needed. Tap water is not drinkable; buy bottled.
Halal food
Da Nang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have some halal restaurants but not many — worth finding and saving addresses before you travel. Ask us on LINE if you would like help finding one near your hotel.

How is Fast Track different from an airport transfer?
Fast Track escorts you past the immigration queue; it does not include a vehicle. If you want both, choose a package that includes transport — each listing states this clearly.
When do I give my flight details?
At booking. The booking form has fields for flight number and arrival time — staff need these to send someone to meet you. If you do not know yet, send them later on LINE.
What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
For airport services, if you cannot use the service because of a delay or cancellation, send us the airline's confirmation and we refund in full.
